Information Gathering Example:
Step 1: In the URL Text field type in www.static-ware.com and press enter

You will notice that www.static-ware.com has been added to your list of Stored web sites. This is how you start your web crawling.

If you tick Grab Links, the scan will expand itself continuously and automatically until you either tell it to stop by clicking on Stop, or close the program.

With Deep Scanning checked your self expanding crawl will add all links found in pages to the scan queue. Un-checked, only the base URL (home page) of the link will be scanned.

Ticking Overwrite means that data already stored in your Stored Sites list will be overwritten if you re-scan that page.

Step 2: In the Search text field type in staticware and press enter. A list will appear showing you web pages that have been found with that search term.

You can browse any of the web pages found in your searches or from the database by right clicking and selecting browse or pressing F2, the page will be displayed in your existing web browser.

Scan Queue & Search Result Limits

You can adjust the size of your scan queue and search results to alter the way HyperNet finds and displays information. Adjusting your scan queue to small sizes will effectively limit the scan to within a certain web domain. Increasing it to a large size will result in a more broad search pattern and results.

Email export: (Unlocked version only)
Do you email people and web sites about services or products that you provide? You may find the mail export tool in HyperNet v2 very useful. Instead of purchasing expensive mailing lists or using a random mail name generator you can target and mail to your target market much more efficiently with HyperNet v2. For example: You wish to email all the people within a certain industry and not the whole planet. Simply clear out your database by clicking on new database, scan and grab links from a commonly known web site and gather as many pages about that industry as you like. Then simply export an email list from the 'Tools' menu and you have a 'targeted email campaign list' ready for use.
